Lucy was born on Feb 20, 1810. Samuel was born on Sept. 29, 1807.    this information was taken from a letter written by Charles R Cheney (aka CR Cheney) to his brother Clarence Lee Cheney (aka CL Cheney), grandsons of Samuel. Sons of Seth Cheney born Oct. 20, 1832. The letter states that it is "a true record WaterVille, Feb. 28, 1846 attest: Moses Fisk Town Clerk."  The letter is dated 8/4/1961.

John was born in 1847, died in 1906 in Rhode Island, USA. Mary was born in 1848, died in 1908 in RI, USA. Mary's mother Margaret was born in 1806, died in 1890, USA. The Garlands supposedly came from County Armagh and settled in Massachusetts and then in Rhode Island. Their son (my grandfather) Richard Thomas Garland was born in the USA January 23,1882. His older siblings were born in Ireland.
